Verify that nothing is uploaded

Every Chaudify tool runs inside your browser. You do not have to take our word for it.

Most online tools upload your file to a server, process it there, and send the result back. Chaudify does not. The conversion runs on your own device using JavaScript, and your file never leaves it.

That is a claim anyone can make, so here is how to check it. It takes about thirty seconds and you can do it right now, on this site, with any file you like.

How to check it yourself

  1. Open your browser's developer tools. Press F12, or Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows and Linux, or Cmd + Option + I on a Mac.
  2. Open the Network tab and clear it, so you start from an empty list.
  3. Run any tool. Pick something substantial — compress a photo, split a PDF, generate a QR code.
  4. Watch the list. You will see the page's own assets reload. You will not see your file. There is no request carrying it anywhere.
  5. For a stronger check, go back to the Network tab, switch on Offline throttling, and run the tool again. It still works — because it never needed the network in the first place.

What about the pages that do talk to the network?

This site loads analytics, and may load advertising, on some pages. Those are ordinary page-load requests: they tell us a page was visited. They do not carry your files, and no tool sends anything to them.

If you would rather not be measured at all, an ad blocker or a tracker blocker disables them and every tool keeps working exactly the same. The tools do not depend on the network, so blocking it costs you nothing.

Why we can make this claim

This site used to have one endpoint that accepted an uploaded file for server-side image conversion. It has been removed. There is now no route on this site that accepts a file, which means there is nothing to prove otherwise — not a policy you have to trust, but an absence you can confirm.

You can check that too: the developer tools you just opened will show every request the page makes. If you ever see a tool sending a file, that is a bug, and we would like to hear about it.

Questions

Does this work offline?

Yes. Once a tool page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet entirely and the conversion still works. That is the simplest proof available.

Can you see my files?

No. They are read by your browser, processed in memory, and the result is handed back to your browser. Nothing is transmitted, so there is nothing on our side to see.

What if a tool breaks with an ad blocker on?

It should not, and if it does we would treat that as a bug. The tools and the analytics are independent — blocking one does not affect the other.
